Methcathinone: Expert Advisory Committee on Drugs (EACD) Advice to the Minister

This paper considers the synthesised amphetamine-type drug methcathinone.
Methcathinone is not controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 (the Act). This assessment proposes that the Expert Advisory Committee on Drugs (EACD) considers recommending to the Minister of Health that methcathinone be classified as a controlled drug. This paper presents evidence that will assist in this consideration.
