Pictorial Warnings for Tobacco Products

To better inform people, smokers and non-smokers alike, of the health risks involved in smoking tobacco products Cabinet, on 30 October 2006, approved the drafting of regulations requiring pictorial health warnings on tobacco products sold in New Zealand. All tobacco products manufactured for sale in New Zealand must meet the new labelling regulations by 27 February, 2008.
