Pictorial Health Warnings: A Review of Research Evidence

This report for the Ministry of Health by Professors Janet Hoek and Philip Gendall, Department of Marketing, Massey University, reviews the research evidence concerning pictorial health warnings. The review, which among other issues, considers the methodology and quality of studies on health warnings, was commissioned in response to concerns about the quality of the literature examining the effectiveness of pictorial health warnings.
