Stocktake of Services and Resources to Minimise the Harms from Drugs (Allen & Clarke, 2009)
Date of publication: March 2009
This report was commissioned by the Ministry of Health as part of the Ministry’s Demand Reduction Programme to improve public awareness of, access to and utilisation of resources and services which aim to reduce the demand for illegal drugs. The Demand Reduction Programme aims to provide information about drugs and the harms associated with them, in addition to information about how and where to access help for those concerned about their own or another’s drug use.
The Stocktake was commissioned to identify drug-related resources, interventions and demand reduction initiatives in New Zealand, in addition to identifying gaps in services. The report also contains five case studies of New Zealand providers.
